Mike Sabel, Executive Co-Chairman and CEO stated, “KBR has an exceptional record in the LNG industry, having designed and delivered approximately a third of the liquefaction capacity worldwide. KBR will integrate highly modularized, owner-furnished equipment for the 10 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) nameplate facility, identical to the systems being successfully delivered and installed at Venture Global LNG’s Calcasieu Pass project. announces that KBR has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract as lead contractor for Phase 1 of the Plaquemines LNG export project currently under development in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. Moss Lake Compressor Station, a new natural gas-fired compressor station, is also planned to be constructed east of Vinton, Louisiana. It will connect the CP2 LNG terminal to the existing natural gas pipeline grid in east Texas and southwest Louisiana. It will originate in Jasper County, Texas, and will feed natural gas to the CP2 LNG facility.Ī 6-mile long (9.65km) lateral pipeline with a diameter of 24in will also be developed to connect the CP Express pipeline in the northwest Calcasieu Parish. The CP Express pipeline will be 85.4 miles long (137.43km) and 48in in diameter. Carbon capture and sequestration facilities along with carbon capture equipment will also be located within the project site.Ī 1.47GW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant will also be developed as part of the project, in addition to six metre stations, administration, maintenance and control buildings, and ancillary facilities. In addition, six pre-treatment facilities will be developed with each facility comprising an amine gas-sweetening unit to remove carbon dioxide and a molecular sieve dehydration system to remove water.
